My battery in my Lancer is starting to die because I have 3 things I plug into the 12v sockets that i use for work or driving. Its not the battery, It measures the same CCA it advertises, but it just can't keep up over night or every 2 days I drive it.
I'm buying a Optima red top 35 tomorrow to replace it
Should I pay the core charge or turn in the old one that is only 4 months old as an extra?
Is there anyway to keep it charged without running my electric bill up $30 every month, or wire so one can be used to jump the other?

fucking everything is a meme. Optima has a track record and higher CCA then stock or duralast, so fuck why not?

>3 things I plug into the 12v sockets
Sockets hot all the time? Because that's the way to kill a battery.
>keep it charged without running my electric bill up $30 every month
Get a better charger. Trickle charge it while stuff is powered overnight. Pay the electric bill.
Or take your stuff out of the car and charge it at home at night.

Or just get a 3 plug adapter with an on/off switch and switch it off when you get out of the car. Seriously not that hard.

I woukd kill for an always on 12v outlet in my car like an old murrican truck. Count your blessings faggot and unplug your shit when youre not using it.

My 2000 F350 has constant hot outlets too. You don't need one THAT old. Also it's easy to make your own outlet hot all the time

My 2001 Volkswagen has a hot at all times cigarette lighter. There's one in the trunk too.

There is always the 2 ampere trickle charge setting of some battery chargers. You want one that won't overcharge the batteries. Overcharging GEL cell types is especially bad as it shortens lifespan.
With a trickle charger, your devices will thus get power thru the night and the battery will not be overcharged if it is one of those long-term maintenance trickle chargers.

Get a yellow top instead.

Optima are overpriced. There are other glass-mat batteries that also have large capacity and significantly lower prices
