I think the inability of our group to even decide on a route, or anything like that shows that democracy can not work. There are too many people with too many ideas. If you want to really go places, you need someone to take us there. I do not want to be that person, and if I had to nominate someone right now I would probably nominate GS or SC to do the job of "leader" or "president" or whatever you want to call it. There should be different positions, like Route planner or whatever, not just a head person but many people doing many jobs.

I can sniff out driving roads, think up of fun shit to do, and attempt to get our crew assembled every now and then, but ultimately its the group morale and dynamic that brings us together. If we' are constantly bickering and disagreeing then we are going to be like two donkey bound together but heading in opposite directions, we are getting nowhere. I've actually got a $5k radio with the 500 trunking band on it for work. As far as I can tell, only HPD uses encryption, although surrounding LE has it programmed in theirs as well, they don't use it because it interferes with their old systems.

Even so, using $10 worth of SDR equipment and some knowledge will let you pick up pretty much any unencrypted frequency.

It's not just the trunking radio you need, you'll also need the encryption codes. You'll have to download them from a police radio, and they change periodically (Not exactly sure how much for HPD, I don't know any HPD officers, I'm guessing once a week.).

You'll need to find someone on the force to get continuous access, otherwise you're going to be breaking into police cruisers every week.

Shit, a lot of poorer places can't afford encrypted radio comms unless they have someone exceptionally talented at working with the radio. For us, we looked in to picking up trunked encryption capable radios off the shelf with everything but the cypher programmed in, they were five grand a piece. I had the same code on my '05 Civic and the oil level was fine.

I replaced the vtec pressure switch and it stopped throwing the code, about $80 I think.
