Stand on the gas. If you're nervous about it learn on the grass or a wet parking lot. As long as you keep giving it gas after the tires have broken loose your car isn't going to catch traction all of a sudden and shoot off in a random direction. This only happens when you hesitantly hit the throttle pedal like the retards in all these videos.

People don't know how to handle a car when it loses traction. It just seems like American cars are more likely to crash because there's a lot more of them and, by extension, a lot more unskilled drivers crashing them and having it caught on video. People crash supercars in a similar fashion as well. There just isn't as much footage of it because there are fewer Ferraris or McLarens than Mustangs, Camaros, or Corvettes so it seems like it's less common.

I'm far from an expert, but when the mustang lost traction and started skidding, it looked like he panic and completely cut the throttle and over-corrected which threw his car into the other lane when it hooked. He shouldn't have been doing stupid shit on a wet road with a bunch of other cars nearby.

The corvette looked like he dumped the clutch too hard when he shifted which broke traction as if you were to clutch kick drift and obviously couldn't control it.
