I am not sure this is the right place but I need help finding out what this is. I have a 2007 vw rabbit and my brother said he stalled in the freeway and the car won't start now. It won't even crank. The EPC light, check engine and battery light are all now on. I push started the car and it started right up and drove perfectly. When I turned it off it had the same problem and wouldn't start on again. I found this wire plugged into a sensor hanging. What might it be? Or is this unrelated. More pictures in thread.
Another view of it disconnected

two wire sensor usually a temperature sensor
I think the sensor is just coincedence or I'm barely now finding it. I think its the starter or ignition switch. Cause the car ran 100% fine when I got it on and if the sensor was bad it would idle badly

Thank you that led me to my assumption its the starter or cause i recently had my front end put together by a body shop maybe they didn't replug a sensor in
Pretty sure that's an outside air temperature sensor, it should be mounted to a hole in the bumper.
It's not causing your engine problems.
Any noise at all when you turn the key?
