Best car new car for under $27,000? I would prefer under $25,000. I want something fun to drive but I don't care about it being "fast". I'm not going to be racing it or driving it at 100% ever.
I'm attracted to a new Civic or perhaps a WRX. The WRX is at the upper limit of what I want to pay. It looks like the WRX could cost about 28,000 which is more than I would like but still possible.
Also thinking about a used S2000. I'm not afraid of working on a car and have done all the work on my current car for 10+ years, but I can finally afford a new car and am considering my options.
My current house doesn't have a garage so that makes me hesitate on a new car and think maybe I should go used. I don't like the idea of leaving a brand new car out in the weather to be shit on by birds.
Also considering a Saab 92-X AKA the Saabaru.
I would prefer something with trunk space which makes me think the S2000 might not be an option. I have a new hobby racing quadcopters and I need to fit my gear in the back and travel to races in my region. I like the idea of a WRX 92-X hatch/wagon for that reason.

I daily a Saabaru, 160k miles and it drives like its new. You can find one easily in great condition for like 5-6 grand and use the other 20k to mod the shit out of it and keep it reliable.
Don't buy a Subaru they're garbage

Well, I hate to say it but what you've described to me is a Miata or a BRZ.
BRZ is probably a bit worse than the new Miata though.
consider one of the older WRX STI. new wrx is going to disappoint
07 Hawkeye can be had for under 15k
>retarded fast
>awd sedan so kind of practical
>new enough without having all the downfalls of being a new boring car
just beware that most of them have been hooned to death

>300hp
>More drivetrain loss
>Understeer from the factory
>Fast
No. Yes it's got a fast 0-60 that quickly loses steam soon thereafter
A Saab 92-X Aero with a manual transmission is rare as fuck.

I own an older WRX, and the new one is better in literally every single way, except for it's styling. It looks like ass.
