DIRT RALLY OVG EVENT UPDATE
I did what i'm very best at and i fucked up again. If i'm not mistaken, this week event became today event - like, it'll end in 24 hours. Well, it's a minor drawback (at least it's not accidental one month event like last time), just don't be suprised if your today score will disappear tommorow.

I begin to suspect that i'm not the one at fault. I remember clearly that i set right dates, i remember calendar thingie showing one week in different color. Their script is fucked up.

I think i'll set up same events again in two days from now. Feel free to race in this ones if you want though, i just doubt there will be more than five players who can find a moment to finish it in the middle of the week.

The G29 was itself a replacement for a G27, which Logitech forced me to return the entire set of, otherwise I'da kept the shifter, as they're compatible.

I like the 29, it's got nice ergonomics, but there's no fucking reason it should cost $400 when the G27 was down to 200 when the 29 came out, and that includes the shifter, which is now a $50 additional purchase and has no additional buttons, thus making the Xbone-compatible G920 less functional than the PS3/4 G29 even when fully kitted out.

From memory tyres in rF have a set optimum operating pressure specified in the .TBC file and my understand was that you aim the starting pressures a little under that so you're there or there abouts when the tyres warm up.
The real question though, do you notice a gain out of it? I messed around with it a bit, didn't notice any time or wear gains, but I might've been doing it wrong.

There's your problem. Throttle control is very important with the N2.
Basically if you increase the pressure you get up to temps faster, but it's easier to overheat them and lose grip. It's a double edged sword.

rF2 for basically 50 for the lifetime. Worth it? I mean, I've been playing the pirated game, and I do enjoy it and I think the engine is great if not the best atm, but then again lack of mods and extreme reliance on mods makes me think that it's too much for that.

None of my plugins are showing in rF2. I've installed and reinstalled TrackMap a couple times now. Nothing shows in the plugin list in settings, and nothing loads in the game.

Also I can't manage to change the multiplayer name. It just defaults to ALI213. I've already changed the name file in appdata, but that only changes the single player name.

Fucked around with tyre pressures a bit, gained a couple hundredths of a second but they took longer to get up to speed.

Gotta learn to use those side walls of your tires to slow down and also break. Don't just flick into a slide thinking the side walls will just break for you and you will slide through it tap the break a wee bit before you start most of your turns. If your talking tarmac then you really got to let off the gas when entering the corner and get on it hard when exiting. Modulate the throttle, don't go just off and on.

You will get in the global top 20s soon m8, dirt rally is easy as fug.

I had a G27 and made a point when returning that for replacement that the G29 they wanted to send me didn't have a shifter and was therefore not a full replacement.
They sent me a plain 29 anyway, but when that broke, they sent me a new G29, including the shifter I'd asked for months ago, without even waiting for me to return the broken G29, and it arrived within 2 days of the tracking number dispatch. Absolutely based.


FCA shift knob is a perfect fit. I don't exactly know what to call the shaft type, but it must be some kind of standard. If it bothers you that your G27 shifter or DF shifter feels like a toy, drop a real knob onto it, and it improves immensely.

How do I git gud at pikes peak for dirt rally? Never been good at it on any rally game, can't do the no pacenotes.

GT3 are easier in general, since they were designed people with a lot of money to drive them too. They have stuff like TCS and ABS to help people who are not as fast. And mind you, not everyone has a wheel, so some people might have problems with more "spirited" cars. Even the 86 is a handful to drive fast, and it has 215 hp.
