Hello everyone, I'm tackled with helping my mother get a new car, and I figured I'd ask here for general advice before going to dealerships and trying stuff with her.
The requirements are: new, petrol 1.3-.14L engine, 4 doors, ~4m length, decent mpg for mostly city driving.

Like I could suggest a Dacia Sandero for being dirt cheap, or something like an Audi A3 for greater refinement at a higher price.
