The C7.R was running top of class on June 5th tests, then the LeMans officials come in to "balance" the car and it's nearly 5 seconds off pace.

This isn't balance, it's clear favoritism and no other car has been hit like this.

That's objectively untrue. They were hit with big performance penalties.

It will be VERY VERY difficult to win LeMans now.

A 4 second lap difference is equal to over TWENTY MINUTES over the course of the race.

If this was the production Ford GT vs the Corvette Z06 the 'Vette would get BTFO beyond comprehension. It weighs less than 2800 lbs, has over 700 hp, is far more aerodynamic and shifts way faster. Not to mention the production Z06 would literally (not exaggerating) explode due to its notorious overheating problems within an hour. Stay mad.

The real question is, did Chevy make their BoP seem worse then it actually was to slow down Ferrari and Ford? Or was the post-testing BoP really fucked because of manipulation? The issue is we really won't know till the race. But if you look at sector times alone you can see the Fords and Ferrari dominate across the track with everyone else out of sight. The only cars I feel weren't actually sandbagging was the 911s, but that's because they really can't make much use of the new regs on diffusers and you can only get so much power out of a NA 4L Flat 6. Aston might be slower because of Dunlop, who really knows with them.
