Be glad you have a Ruckus and not some 350 pound scooter that shits itself if you try to start uphill.
Also did you buy it used? If not you probably could have gotten an actual motorcycle for that money.

Lmao you burgers make me kek
I've had two back in the day. Lots of miles on them. Rode through winter and all other crap weather. Rode long distances. Abused the crap out of them.
Ruckuses are tons of fun. I'd still have one but it just doesnt make sense when I already have two bikes and 3 cars.

are you guys in the usa?
I paid $4/mo for liability on my ruckus. $26/mo would of been full coverage with state farm. Then long after I sold my last ruckus I found progressive has been cheaper on everything for me.

In Florida, insurance isn't required on 50cc scoots. Registration is $30/yr.
Ive been wanting one for years, might see if i can trade my project car for it.

in iowa now anything that can go over 27(i think) has to be registered as a motorcycle so the ruckus falls under it.
Works for me since it keeps them from needing to have flags, it let me legally take it on highway, and I rented mine out for $60 to people to take their motorcycle license tests on.

My WR450 cost mt $113 for a year of insurance

>not just getting a supermoto
grom sucks. Anything it can do a supermoto can do better
>>15274869
For 3x the cost.
Im not defending groms, but cmon dude.
I am considering buying my buddy's ruckus though. He offered it to me for $500. It's a little bit rougher than most ruckuses but mechanically sound. Just has sat outside a lot and has general corrosion on some of the metal bits and there's a couple spots of the frame with surface rust.
Mechanically sound though, he planned to sell it last year so I cleaned the carb, put in a new spark plug, fuel filter, resprayed the battery box black since the paint on it was getting bad, and put a new trans belt on.
Figure for $500 it'll make a good pit vehicle at the tracks and maybe I'll occasionally cruise it around town

groms still bring on average 2700+ used. a Supermoto can occasionally be found for upper 2000's. I bought my pretty much mint 06 drz400sm for $3200.
Extra few $ for a lot more capability.
That said I'd still like to have a grom, they're just hilariously fun to ride. Again though, I can't justify having one when I already have my drz
>>15274903
I need to move where you live.
Around here
>drz400sm
$6000
>grom
$2000
>>15274915
I mean don't get me wrong. Supermotos on average here will be priced at $5000-6000 (used drz400sm's anyway) but if I refresh CL every day usually one or two reasonable priced drz400sm's will pop up.
Some cheap $2000-2500 nice condition s models pop up as well pretty often.
Groms though dont seem to ever go down though
