start it slow.

Setup:

>cover the rear brake at all times

Training

>clutch in
>rev it up +1000 rpm
>clutch out
>get a feel for it
>repeat with +1500rpm, +2000rpm, +2500rpm and find that sweet spot

if you do this and keep the bike/handlebars straight it's impossible to flip it or crash. Also your bike will go up inches at first and you will get a feeling for riding with one wheel.

If you're not comfy at all with it just odn't do it and don't ruin your bike.

More than just that. Exercise it. Make a habit of pressing it when you want to come down. Because for most people, their first instinct when they start to loop over is to just push the bike away instead of pressing the brake. You have to get it through your mind to just use the brake any time you want to lower yourself to break that habit.

I took a bandit 600s 2001 two days ago and now i have issues.

Whenever im on the higway for a while, my engine would stop working. No more acceleration, but it'd keep on going.

If i pull the clutch, the engine stops.

If i stop completely, the engine stops and wont start

If I wait 2 minuts, the engine starts back just fine, like nothing hapenned.

Are they good bikes mechanically, don't care for top speeds or em pee gees as long as it works.

Currently it has some issues with the transmission, drops out of second gear. Probably something fucked up inside the transmission.

Guzzoline turns to vapor while it's in the fuel lines or float bowl, since it's already vaporized it doesn't mix with air well and you get misfires or the bike may not start.
Usually does this when the engine is hot or the gas is old.

I've heard this about some older bikes. Most people accelerate the hardest in 2nd gear and back then this was underestimated so the 2nd gear wears out rather quickly. Had the same problem on a 600r thundercat.

So basically the gear itself is worn to oblivion, got it.
I might fix it when winter comes around, doesn't really matter as the 2nd holds if you go light on it, but jumps out when you press it harder.

My old W123 300D used to do that in 2nd too and grinded like hell.

I don't hold onto carbs.
But if I have a carb bike sitting that needs cleaning I clean them and don't sell the whole bike because I'm to illiterate to clean them. People make a bigger deal out of cleaning carbs than it is.

Also I got an EFI bike too but if I want a bike that happens to have carbs on it I don't mind.
