I daily my gt across town, it's no big deal and a lot more enjoyable than my automatic was. Just replace the clutch assist spring with the a steeda one. The stock spring makes the clutch so light you lose a bit of feeling in it. Doesn't cost much takes about 10 minutes and makes a world of difference.

I'm German and everyone here can drive stick comfortably and most cars are still manual. Maybe you have to be the masterrace to drive stick or maybe it's just not all that hard, silly Americans.

When you realize that most of the world is not made up of fun to drive roads, and that you sit in traffic forever to get anywhere, you appreciate not having to shift. It's not a meme. Driving gears is a far more engaging and rewarding experience. It's the difference between loving to drive vs just getting from A to B. If you actually enjoy driving and you learn to drive stick you will be bored the next time you get into an auto and frankly it will ruin auto for you.
