I've owned a 4th and 5th gen. Overall they're good cars, but the issue most people have with them is they're in a weird middle ground. The Civic/Integra are better tuning platforms and considerably lighter. The Lude is remarkable heavy for as little space as you get. It's really more of a GT than a sports car, problem is nobody really wants a pint sized GT. Inspite of it's higher weight, the interior (4th gen particularly) is cramped as fuck. Someone who wants a spacious and faster coupe would usually opt for a v6 Accord. Someone who wants a car to modify will usually opt for a Civic/Integra.

They were also crazy overpriced by the end of their run. For the amount of money, there were much better cars available at the price.
