They only made 1,807 for the 2 model years. It wasn't a big seller. Particularly when yo factor in that in 1976, the Scorpion cost $11,000 new. To put that in perspective, a 1976 Chevrolet Corvette could be had new for $7,600. And even loaded with ALL options, the Corvette would top out around $10,600, which was still short of the Lancia's base price.

Silly Italians overpricing everything.
