Never do that. If you really want it but can't afford it do a personal load through a bank/credit union, pay guy in full for car, then pay off debt through bank. Much safer.

Somebody else will give him $4500 cash, he can wait. Either rob a store and get the rest of the cash you need or move on, if you're buying used buy what you can afford, if you can't afford something great then have some patience and save up until you can afford something great.

I went to one of those payday loan places to buy my car, a $2,500 car ended up costing $6,800 ended up selling the car and taking a part of my paycheck for a year to pay it back.

Short story is, buy a car with what you got, else save for it.

craigslist people will always want a full cash payment. sold 3 cars on CL and anyone who asked about a payment plan got ignored. I dont trust poor people to pay every week because they obviously cant budget.

I had some guy ask to make payment on an 04 Cobra. No money down $150 monthly. Didn't even bother to calculate how long it'd take.

This is now a truck thread. Just bought this v8 s10 off craigslist a few days ago.

I'd strike up a payment plan/buy from CL at all if and only if they were a rich fuck selling off an unwanted car from their collection privately because they fucking hate dealers

If you want to make payments there's banks and dealerships for that.

Anytime I sell a car on CL you get the deadbeats asking to make payments and I always tell them no.

If some seller on Craigslist tries to offer you some kind of payment option chances are you're being taken advantage of. I remember some kid starting a thread about how he was buying some car he fell in love with. The seller took all the money he had and got him to agree to make payments while the SELLER'S SON DROVE IT including the cost of ongoing maintenance
