If they run an aggressive enough tune to run 400hp with only a downpipe, shit breaks superfast. They already aren't that reliable, even but BMW standards, so most of the time people who do the tune and the downpipe resort to more mild tunes so they aren't totally fucked.
I looked into it though, because it sounded interesting.

I too live in Washington and I would not personally buy the e60, and you are not getting a nice e92 for under 25k. Low mileage examples in excellent shape still sell for more than $30k. Anything in the 25k ball range is not something you want to buy. Trust me, thats how I wound up with the Z4M. e92 is too expensive, e46 is just too old and run down except for the rare examples.

If I had 25k to spend I'd buy some real premium call girls, I'm talking super model quality. Then I'd spend the rest on a miata.

When I bought my Civic Si, I basically decided to never go to a car meet again, unless it was one for exotics and I wouldn't be parked with the other cars. It works out well.

C5z owner here. Can't go wrong with a vette. And yes there is a stigma with it. But who the fuck cares if you're clearly not part of it? They are fun as shit and can't go wrong with an ls series motor. You can get a c5 for 15 all day and have 10k to throw at it and it will be so scary to you it's crazy.
