For the races the server will be updated with only the supercars and the one 2 eleven(for babypunch).

Also, track grip will be set on fast instead of green, and the ambient temperature was lowered to 30 degrees(it was at 38 before), so the more anolog car will not kill their tyre that fast.

As for the hot pursuit round, it will begin after a 10-15 minute breakto reupload the server with the new cars, and the said the car choices will be enriched with more than 3 cars each, and the cop cars will be the most powerful and heavy cars, while the racers will get the nimble ones.

So the hopefully final list for the hot pursuit race(s) will be:

Yes, but treat it like a motorsports career. If you are planing to race every car and every track you are gonna be poor fast. Decide what series you want to run and then buy the content for it and do it in bulk so you get the discounts.

It's well worth it for the active community.

watch tutorials, drive slower, and most important of all - give yourself some time, you can't just get good without spending some time with game. Dirt rally (or any other rally sim game) have weird learning curve. At first it's pretty difficult, then for some time you're falling off the track, then for some time you're incredibly slow, then you slowly get good. So, just keep playing and derive satisfaction from small things (such as winning open championship which should be in your reach right after you'll start driving carefully).


Or try to approach it from theoretical side. Read about oversteer/understeer, how to manage it, then keep overusing handbrake on every major turn to induce oversteer and watch your times getting faster and faster.

Maybe getting into the top 3 might have saved you trouble and kept you closer to those in front. If you weren't as consistent in keeping your position regardless of starting position then you're gonna be lower on the list. Maybe aim for better starts and stop blaming other factors.

The point was Kraid's point count is high as fuck because of seasons of racing against literal whos, since that ranking doesn't account for strength of opposition but just finishing position.

Someone implied people have less points per race than they would otherwise because they fuck around and start at the back and I was saying that would only make a small difference.

That would really depend on the quality of the grid and how held up drivers get or how often they get into accidents with other drivers. Only like, the top 5 drivers in OVGT3 S2 were actually decent enough to race against. Otherwise it's a complete crap shoot with how it's gonna go.

Honestly these charts mean absolutely fuck all in terms of determining driver skill. Given the generally poor driving standards up and down the grids, might it be in pace or just racecraft.

It's still tech demo status, but the last couple of updates have been rather big. The only "game" part about it are the scenarios, which keep getting added with every update but they're still very short.

All they need to add is a rally mode:

The top split of street stocks has a lot of good racing, most of the races the field will run like two wide the whole race without a crash. Makes racing charlotte intense in street stocks.

Still there are alot of south americans. Be careful around them, also Iberians too.

True, i'm trying to grind iRating currently at 1200 after being down in 800 last month, it's just some of these tracks the first corners are too tight for these divebombing retards. Monza with F Renault was a nightmare on the first corner.

Yea it's great. Have a pretty good iRating in Oval so it's usually clean races in Street Stocks. Can be some pretty intense racing for the last few laps when tyres are worn out.

So, with week 4 behind us, it's time to switch from high performance HP cars to econoboxes, for the "shitbox sunday" event at tsukuba.

The rules are pretty simple. Anything below 150hp qualifies to race. No semi-slicks or full blown racecars, if there are any with less than 150hp that is.

I expect entries with the mx-5 for this week. From the stock content, the mito, the 500 and the humble 595(if anyone is crazy enough to drive it). Everything else that can run, is a mod car, which are of course welcome. "Downgrades" are allowed, as long as the car comes with that sort of version, i.e. if someone wants to bump down the EG6 SiR with the D16 engine, feel free to do so.

Also pansyfaust pls finish the MR2, I would love to drive it.

What oval series do you run?

I'd like to race C Trucks, but i'm still stuck in like 3.3 SR because there currently aren't any free tracks on rotation, and you barely gain any SR from Street Stocks

Would you guys play a racing game that has all the bells and whistles (enjoyable physics, total customization ability, engine swaps, damage, whatever etc.) but all the cars would be fictional?

We have this idea of making a marvelous racing game but ironically it's the manufacturer licenses that permit most of the things to make the "ultimate" driving experience.

So instead of spending serious $$$ on licenses, you'd hire a team of OEM and Aftermarket designers and engineers to design a fleet of cars that we could then do anything we want with.

lf the models were well executed, could you look past the fact that all the cars are fabricated?

Pretty much Rookie is stupid unclean, C class you get clean drivers. B is the best spot to be in A are usually drivers who don't mind hitting someone for a win and PRO is just dirty as fuck.

Clearly the cars would be heavily inspired by real cars but the idea of hiring professionals is they would mix and match the good parts into nice new designs instead of having regular developers or general art designers just omit or manipulate iconic parts away from real designs leaving them bland or uncanny.

Bad: there isn't a whole lot of variety in the game. only 11 tracks (not counting reverse tracks) and mostly japanese cars.
