You could do worse - I got my throttle body and injectors cleaned "really really well" for 300 bucks, to pass a smog test. Im sure I was scammed and was an idiot for not running some fuel cleaner through myself for a few tanks.

It's cheaper to get it done at a mechanic unless you get filters and oil in bulk to bring down costs.

most people dont buy hundreds of filters and 1000s of L of oil so its more expensive to do it at home.

at least in australia where 5L of full synthetic oil can be $30-80 depending on sales and an OEM filter for certain cars only bought for 30-40 online.unlessyou go cheap and get no namefiltersfor 10-20.

Not true, I worked as an oil monkey and we always used the right stuff. If we didn't have it in the barrel we would take it off the shelf and use bottles which was expensive as fuck for us but we're honest.
