Shady mechanic stories?

Only shitty experience really. There's one other shop I use for shit I don't have the space to do and they're conveniently the cheapest and most reliable place in town.

yes rear caster is adjustable, the Sky and Solstice were the first cars GM produced that had that feature. Also the New Corvettes have adjustable rear caster now.

To combat all this I printed out 5 pages from the factory service manual about how to do an aliment on my car. It covers in detail camber, caster, and toe adjustments in front and rear. I have included on the last page the alignment specs I want. I still fear the worst.
Hopefully I leave the dealership happy. I will update this thread tomorrow on how it goes.

I had a mechanic forget to tighten my lug nuts. The wheel flew off a mile down the road. Fortunately I was only doing 25 at the time. I walked back and punched him in the face.

This happened to with My dad's old explorer when I was a kid. He was going about 45 and the rear tire flew off just after getting them rotated. An old lady who was going the other way ran into the tire and launched it quite a distance into the air, but thankfully she was ok.
