Add enough electrical wizardry and computers and anything can be fast. Look at the GTR.

That doesn't mean it is engaging to drive though. Cars like the NSX, GTR, and CTR put down respectable lap times, but they also pretty much drive themselves.

What do you mean drive themselves? It's not a Tesla dude, you still have to drive them and know when to brake and how to turn. Not to mention cars like the GTR are still pretty dang heavy. Heavy isn't always easy to drive.

Cars have had plenty of assists for decades. ABS/TCS/Stability/etc. Those assists have just gotten a bit better that's all. My only complaint with the GTR is a lack of clutch.

Civic Type R doesn't have an MSRP yet but it goes for 30,000 pounds in the UK. That's about $42,000. Keep in mind that cars are always more expensive in the UK. In the US, it'll be mid $30,000, maybe less.
