So if a "classic" car has a salvage title can the title be cleared in any legal way?

The only way i can think of is exporting it to a different country and moving there.
Anyway i googled and my state does allow it however you need to document repairs
So what the fuck should i do if the car actually doesn't need repaired at all?

Take it for inspection?

I doubt a 53 year old carburetor would pass emissions.

so you can export it twice and have it legally?

Then I guess your stuck with the title being a salvage.
Best of luck op.

Depends on the state you live in. Some states such as Georgia have procedures to get salvage titles amended. Most however do not. Also, some states have different title requirements for vintage automobiles.

The car would only have to meet the emissions standards for the year of manufacture, not the current standards.
You can get an R title, a reconstructed title, if you repair it and pass the inspection.
You won't get a normal clean title.
Your state/country may be different.
