I'm looking to get my first car, considering pic related (2nd gen Acura TL). Explain why my dumb ass shouldn't buy one.
I'm looking for:
- ~$3000
- will last me ~5 years if I take good care of it
- reasonably cheap maintenance
- sedan
- reasonably comfortable and decent-looking
bumping until I get an answer
just get an accord

Yes but won't it be sluggish? I don't mind if it's not bad but I'm used to the Ford Five Hundred, and it's got 205hp.
Take it to a mechanic first and if it's clean, buy it. Not bad for a starter.
I heard the transmission on these goes bad pretty fast, though

bump?
Autos are weak, have heat problems. You'd be better off getting a 2000-2003 5.5gen Maxima if you want that big of a car.
Alternatively get a 6th gen accord with either 4cyl manual or auto
get a manual if you want a TL

What do you think a TL is? It's mainly a rebadged Accord. The second gen TL also only has like 225 HP, so not a big difference.
3rd gen is sooo much better though. Save more money and find a 6 speed.
