What's the cheapest most reliable used car you can get? Let's say you have a max budget of $4k and need something that will get you at least another 100k on top of whatever it already has.

So as an example: $4k can get you a 20** buick whatever with 70k, these cars typically last to around 200k etc.

old mercedes diesel. it will be a slow piece of shit and fiddly interior parts will probably come off regularly but the drive train will outlast planet earth
