How do I go about making a reasonable offer on an old project car? Are there any resources or guides available?
old project cars are worth nothing
offer them some change and pocket lint
when they say no tell them
"ok then see you later masturbator"
they'll usually change their mind at that point
>buying old project cars
>ever
If I wanted to fix other people's fuck ups I'd be a mechanic.

This.
Always remember every dollar they spent "modifying" that shit means absolutely nothing to the resale value. If anything it actually LOWERS the value.

somewhere around the amount junk yards would take for it.
that pic
>muh b swap with ricer ebay header
>project 99% complete!
>spent $$$$$thousands! No receipts tho
>Just needs batary and spark plug then will run hunitz!
I actually went to look at a car listed like this before with no intention of buying, just to see what the idiot looked like.

there is no guide because its not about the car, its about you. Enjoying the work and liking the car are the two most important factors. I buy old, non running diesel VW's because I love em. I get them running and they get me everywhere and I have no fall back cars. I drive cheap this way, but this would never be "profitable" in terms of building value.
