Hi, /sci/ here. I'm starting my first real job and I need a car to get around. This will be my first car since I took the train to uni everyday for the past 4 years.
What would you guys recommend? I want to get a Honda because they seem super reliable and inexpensive. I have been gravitating towards a si because of the extra bit of power. They seem kinda overpriced at ~12000 CDN. Anything with more bang for my buck?
Thanks for any advice!

a new si?
how much do you want to spend?
>>14693747
>people still think Hondas are reliable
get a used v6 camry
Buy an RX7, or an R32 GT-R
>>14693747
Buy a civic or Acura El for 6-7k and call it a day.

Where in peoples republic of canada homie?
>>14693757
Used with <100km. Max budget of 15k
>>14693757
Nissan Micra, the cheapest car in the new car market.
>>14693764
Those are pretty rice taxed up here but kinda possible.

Calgary.
Guess I should add, the car needs to be drivable in winter haha
>>14693777
> 62k miles or less
that will restrict your choices a lot, you'll be throwing away a lot of good cars
>>14693787
I don't really know much about cars but my dad told me 100-150km is a good range to look at. Enlighten me if I'm mistaken

Acura TL or TSX
>>14693805
What about RSX? My buddy has one and I love the hatch but it grinds on 3rd gear
>>14693819
if you want a sportier car and can live with just two doors, RSX is definitely worth considering. popular boy racer cars though and many are beat to shit so you have to be vigilant to nab a good one

What year should I be on the lookout for? Max mileage?
>>14693784
Any car is driveable in the snow with winter tires and somebody with at least average IQ behind the wheel. Not all seasons, actual winter tires.
>>14693979
ANY MILEAGE
ANY YEAR
Just make sure it's been taken care of. That's literally all that matters.
>>14694006
Thanks m8. Mostly just wanted to know if any year was particularly good/bad.
>>14694035
Early 2000s Hondas and acuras had transmission issues. Chances are if it hasn't failed at 150k miles it's fine.
>>14693803
100k-150k km isnt a bad range
>>14693784
