Why do people do this? I saw this car yesterday, it's a 1995-2000 Hyundai lantra, with a fake turbo sticker on it, some pointless and fucking ugly body kit that just adds weight and makes him look like a tool, a spoiler, p plates, stickers from a shitty workshop in a different state, and while you can't see it well in the pic it's also got a fart can.
Also general rice thread I guess.

Because you aren't aloud to have a fast car in AUS so you can only have a slow car that looks fast.
>>14681861
>p plates
Isn't that why?
>>14681891
Also fake hood scoop.

When you want an interesting car but can't afford one, one answer is to glue some fibreglass to your shitbox and pretend. The UK is full of this shit.
>>14681902
When I had my p's I didn't drive a riced up Hyundai. I drove a shitbox corolla and I was proud of it.

Is that paint job from need for speed carbon
>>14681861
Learning how an internal combustion engine works is hard, learning how to tune one is even harder.
Some people just wanna be Vin Diesel minus the hard work.
>>14681917
i had a lancer once. you could make them really sporty with some masking tape and black spray
too bad some people need to overdo it like this
>>14681861
whats with the fart can meme?
they put glass packs on v8 cars too, they sounds like that because they're 4 cylinders.

>choosing muffler technology that has been used since cars were first made over innovative and sexy flowmasters
>>14682240
We've come a long way from cherry bombs...
>>14681861
They have cars in Tasmania?
>>14682382
I have Flowmasters on my truck and my car (both v8s) but my car is so much louder. Is it because there are no carbs on the car or is it just because I sit much closer to the exhaust that I hear it better?

Tons of factors ranging from engine setup to header type and size, exhaust pipe routing and size, exit location, sound deadening, type of tip or tail pipe or turn down, and the list goes on. I had a shop custom build a 2.75" dual setup for an old truck I had. I went to pick it up and it was pretty quiet. Much more so than I expected or wanted. Turns out they forgot to install the tips which made a huge difference.

Surprisingly ye. I don't know why they let incestuous criminals like us own and drive cars, but they do.
>>14682632
it's probably because your carĀ“s muffler is higher up the list than the one your truck has
>>14681861
Actually, a 4g63 swap is fairly common on that generation of elantra. I think the engine just bolts right in. So it could be turbo
>>14682834
It could be turbo, but I doubt it man. what guy gets an ugly body kit and a fart can AND then legitimately does something that helps his car performance.
I'll just leave this here.

A trolly sleeper maybe? I remember there being this video of one SRT4 Neon stanced to hell and back with neons, ridiculous paint job and even worse bodykit. The thing also had ridiculous amount of boost and a fair deal of work under the hood done, so it was kinda like a reverse sleeper of sorts.
