Are Koenigsegg and Pagani the only supercar companies that have retained their souls?

Yes.

Koenigsegg and Pagani have no prestige or soul.

Way to swallow the pill in the apple sauce of marketing, sheeple.

Being contrarian for the sake of it is not funny, anon. You need to try harder.

Are supercars still relevant? Prove it.

Pagani makes shirts and shoes.

It's not the marketing or the side stuff (without which these companies would probably die) it's the overtly ridiculous stuff like Ferrari Performance Socks™.

I think it's also more about the style. Konigobongo and Poonani are independently owned and operate with a passion for cars, while Porsche, Ferrari, and the rest are under big names a nickel and dimers.

I'd include McLaren in the muh soul too, even if they don't look particularly soulful. Smaller companies like Morgan and Apollo should not be forgotten either.
>>
>both haven't even existed in 1990
>implying they've even acquired soul yet

Considering if they were adults, they wouldn't even be 30 yet, it's pretty easy to see why they're both rebellious and inventive.

But really neither of them are doing anything incredible. They're charging hundreds of thousands of dollars for bespoke machines that have 100 years of automotive experience to pull from. Are the cars incredible? Yes. Do both companies have it easy since Ferrari, Mercedes, and Ford pretty much did most of the hard work for them in terms of aerodynamics, engine development, carbon-fiber research, etc? Yes. Both companies realized all the tools were out on the table to build great cars, all they had to really do was make them a bit less sterile than what Ferrari and Lamborghini were putting out.

Not to mention they're both privately owned, so they have no vested interests in turning profits yet, they only care about building a reputation.

Now, all this being said. I still have no doubt that both Mr. Koenigsegg and Mr. Pagani are living out their life dreams and have a heartfelt connection to every car that is produced, which makes them much more easy to appreciate than the mainstream manufacturers.

Are lightweight enthusiast companies like Ariel, BAC & co not super but merely dorky enough?
>>
Sorry, those cars are just as soulless as Ferrari, Lamborghini, or any other so called "super car". They just lack the thing that the other companies like Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren have....which is race wins and a competive legacy over a long period of time. Pagani and Koenigsegg are just custom car builders for rich Arabs that have zero taste and no class. Building cars that cost a lot doesn't give them a soul. Building cars that accomplish something besides just being seen is how you acquire soul. Hell, even Bugatti can at least draw on some soul if you go back far enough. Pagani and Koenigsegg just draw on your bank account.

Noble?

>>14669408
they are new
give them time
>>

Koenigsegg isn't just a custom manufacturer for rich Arabs, they do a lot of fancy engineering and use cars like a Saab to test things like their pneumatic valves

>freevalve engines
>3D printed turbo with the moving parts and housing printed as one piece
>direct drive transmission in a road car
