I'm a massive (classic) BMW guy, but I grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard reruns so the 1969 Charger will always be my ultimate dream car. Not in General Lee livery though.

Same as OP. Honestly, I didn't know BMWs were capable of performance until the original Most Wanted opened me up to what the M series vehicles were about.

I was confused with the E39 M5 in High Stakes because I didn't understand why a "boring" sedan was in the game. Then again, I was only 8 when I first played High Stakes. Also, the McLaren F1 from the same game. Mainly the reason why its my favorite super car. Money was tight back then so no memory card to save and never unlocked it.

Well when my favorite NFS is Most Wanted, I'd like a story that has a little more weight to it than the "let's lick the asshole of these five 'icons'" who are actually just irl people who can have no antagonism since I'm sure some of them helped hype the game

It's good if you know what you're doing, but I can relate since I sold my first copy when I couldn't get my M3 to emulate Most Wanted's driving style. I have nfs2, nfs3 hp, High Stakes, and Porsche Unleashed on PC. The difference in gameplay is absolutely bonkers, they may as well have been different games. Most of the kids here that have never played these games on PC will never understand why they're so much better than anything that came out on console ever since.

2015 is good, I don't mean to condescend but you've just gotta know what to do tuning wise.
My M3 is set on the overall tuning bar (the top one) only slightly towards grip, and its got Pro tier (whichever is blue) tires. There's some things on off like the launch control, braking drift assist, etc.
But she handles just like the one from Most Wanted, except it will drift with a quick handbrake+brake tap, which is a lot like the Speedbreaker thing I guess, cause I can keep a lot of speed.
You just have to play with it, anon.
But I've been where you are. Hated the game cause I felt the car was pulling one way or another-just did some research and played around with it.
Now my M3 is the car it should be, and carried me through the game. I wipe the floor with Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens, etc on the regular.

The NFS series prior to Hot Pursuit 2 was best played on a PC, because it had so many more features that the PSX version lacked, not to mention the gap graphic wise. Anybody that tries to rank the series but hasn't played the og NFS games on PC should promptly execute themselves.
