its based on your driving position in the car and where the pedal is, if you are using b it's because the pedal is too far to the right.
I use b in my moostang. Also depends if you keep your foot on the floor.

But I heel toe in weirdly so it's always like that.
I just hit the revs with top right side of my foot.

Closer to A than B, but not straight up. Pedal box is a bit cramped in my Porsche Beetle. God help me if I have dress shoes with any sort of sole that stretches past the toe slightly. Big feet are great for heel-toe, but my car automatically rev-matches downshifts so at this point it's a liability.

Most rear wheel drive cars will force B to a degree, mostly because of the transmission tunnel.

Everybody should use B just in case of emergency braking.

I usually end up with b, although I try not to because it makes left foot braking very awkward

Just got back from a drive and B is definitely faster for moving the foot from brake to gas and vice versa. I might just not be used to A though. Will report back with more results

Some vehicles use a 3rd pedal to the left to actuate the parking/emergency brake. That's what the pedal is for.
