not a bad idea just expensive if you want to be 100% scca legal
only one(1) bar is universally scca legal for the NC and its $1200 from blackbird fabworks
all other bars might get you into tracks just depends on local rules
the soft top isnt that heavy though to be honest ~35-40lbs

well if you arent tracking the car you have a lot more options
the rear deck area that opens up is huge and will need sound deadening and carpet if you want to keep from going deaf
the interior of a gutted NC is incredibly boomy and resonates road/exhaust noise much worse than other small cars, especially with a RHT
