I'm not saying the Veloster has an amazing engine and gearbox, but you can't just say it's bad because another completely different car in the lineup is bad. That's like saying the 370Z doesn't have a good gearbox because you've driven a Micra and that was terrible.

My friend has a 2015. Its nice. LOTS of aftermarket support. And it cheap. K frame braces, strut bars, good coil over kits, stiffer trans mounts, carbon fiber intake. He got all that, and a few things for under $1k.

I've driven it, its a nice car. I dont like its styling tho, interior is meh.

It does have the most HP, and torque per liter engine in the world right now. Its always in boost, so it doesnt even feel like it has a turbo. feels weird.


Go test drive one, they can be had under $19k

I would not get the matte one.
