are there pics of him? I bet he's pretty much the embodiment of cuckoldry.

Is there any solid argument against this? I love my car but if someone seriously came at me with "explain to me why all cars shouldn't be restricted to the local speed limit." I wouldn't have a good argument against.

If anything people who own reasonably expensive sports cars would be more inclined to take care of them. 99% of the time someone fucks up going Dagumi it's some shitbox Civic
>>
>>14313301
Usually it's someone in their beat to shit Impreza or base model 3-series that thinks they have a rallycar/sports car, some fag in a riced Golf GTI or some idiot in a riced Corsa that thinks they're in F&F.
>>
>>14313308
Yeah I was going to mention Imprezas, base model E39s and hot hatches in general that also do this shit.
>>
>>14313324
There's the reason the insurance on a Golf GTI is more than double that of a Passat from the same year with the exact same engine.

>55mph national speed limit
>govern all cars to 85 under normal circumstances
>governor can be unlock by a licensed overseer (police officer, track employee, etc)

Problem solved. It's just one of those common-sense measures that neanderthals shouldn't be against, like mandatory gun registration and a one-day license to buy ammunition at a supervised range.

No, it's not.

>>14313265
>>14313235

And what if there were a system implemented by law in every car, that regulates the speed of the car via GPS according to the speed limit for that area? Of course pedestrians can still get killed by getting hit by a car at 5mph. But fatalities would be reduced from people not doing 85 mph in the rain and hydroplaning into a disabled car full of kids. And that's just one scenario, but can you give me a different scenario where the idea is bad?

Keep in mind I'm playing the Devils advocate here, but I can't find an argument saying "this would make things worse". That's why I'm asking.
>>
>>14313365
speed limits should be enforced via GPD near schools and supermarkets and so on

>>
>>14313365
1. Everyone would drive with their foot on the floor because they don't need to check their speed meaning if any malfunction in this system occurred they would most likely crash into the car in front or a corner pedestrians etc.
2. Price.
3. It would be so easy to disable it would be a huge waste of money.
4. Make people hate police even more.
5. No business and hardly any civilians would want to agree to this.
6. There would be virtually no need for advances in mechanical technology.
7. If you hit someone at the speed limit which everyone will probably be doing people would still die.
8. Again people constantly going the top end of the speed limit expecting to be able to take corners at that speed limit in any conditions.
9. People going too slow would become a huge issue because it would be much more difficult to overtake safely making more angry drivers and people making stupid decisions behind the wheel.

I'm sure there is more but if this was a good idea it would've been at least considered
>>
>>14313384

I didn't mention gun control like the other faggot. Driving is a privelege, not a right protected in the constitution.

>>
>>14313418

because there are no risks of killing pedestrians on the backroads and highways
>>
>>14313428
I dont agree with the speed limit car restriction shit but that's a stupid comment come on. People get out of their car from break downs etc on the highway and people walk on backroads with no lights at night. Also it's not just about pedestrians but fucking up other car users as well

GPS isn't reliable enough, poor coverage in certain areas. For example what happens when you go through a tunnel? It disables the limit? Then why not just buy a £10 jammer?

>>
>>14313229

Any "normal" car, so the likes of a 1.2 Clio or a 1.6 Focus will still do 100mph and kill someone

It has nothing to do with the car, it is HOW the car is being driven. Driver education is the problem, and "BAN THEM" isn't the answer.
