I need help picking out my next car, /o/
Here's my criteria :
>10k USD or less
>fast stock (250+ hp)
>must look nice, not a fan of cube-y cars and hard angles
>reliable, this is a must
>decent mpg (20+) is always a bonus, but not required
>great handling; cornering and braking, i dont wanna drive a boat
>original, i dont wanna be mr john smith #31514436 driving a mustang
>not an autotragic, obviously
>rwd or awd, i m done with fwd
>must have a somewhat good looking interior and be somewhat comfy
>power windows, mirrors, doors and keyless entry. this isnt the stone age anymore, lads

Cars i've looked at so far :
>350z, stangs, camaros, vette
No thanks, I dont wanna be mr everybody else
>g35
Actually a pretty good candidate. My brother has one that I've driven and it seems fun to drive around in. There's a shitload of them around my area but I really wouldnt mind having one. Still, I'd rather get something else
>240sx, 300zx
Kinda heavy, I'm not a huge fan of the styling. I feel like they didnt really age that well. They're pretty fucking heavy too, and I'm not too sure how the reliability is on these
>94-99 3000gt vr4
Had my eye on this one for a while now. I'm a huge fan of the design. However they're super hard to come by and I've heard some stories of sketchy reliability and poor handling
>miata, s2000
I'm not a fag aka homosexual LGBT member, so I'll pass. No offense to anyone who owns either one of these

Enlighten me, /o/

2004-6 GTO, huge aftermarket for engine parts, yet not a camaro or something else you always see.

3000GTs are shit for reliability and maintenance, that engine bay is probably the most crammed thing I've ever seen

GTOs are one of my personal favorite cars. Although I've heard some stories about the general reliability of the car. In either case, they are nearly impossible to find, I've been looking for one religiously in my entire state of the last 3 months and they're always either beaten up or overpriced
And yeah, the 3000gt's engine bay does look a little crammed

Interesting, I'll take a look now

I have one. There isn't a big reliability problem, especially if you get an 05/6 or a manual one. The biggest weak point in mine is the transmission because it's an automatic. The T56 is bulletproof. The main problem with it is the lack of trunk room.
>>14270647
If he wants a manual, there is no way to find a G8 GXP for 10k.

>>14270651
S15 isn't available in the U.S. It's the Next generation after the 240sx
>>
>>14270666
Not really a huge fan of older Porsche designs. Although I wouldnt mind a newer Cayman, my wallet couldnt really follow

>>14270672
I guess I'll check out the GTO. I'm just a little on edge about Pontiac's reliability. The interior also looks a little plasticky and on the cheaper side

Another car I've been considering is the Acura RSX Type S. Thoughts ?

>>
>>14270734
Is that an MR2 ? I'm not a huge fan of the design of those
>>
>>14270688
Pontiacs are reliable. It's basically a Corvette drivetrain in a different body. It's just as reliable as a LS1 camaro or corvette. The only things I've replaced that I had to were the front hubs, the radiator, and steering rack, and this is because I got it with 100k on it, it now has 115k. The interior only came in leather and suede. There is some cheap plastic in it, but it feels much nicer than a 4th Gen camaro or the same year corvette.

I thought you said no fwd? The RSX is fwd.
>>
>>14270737
Not that poster, but it appears to be a Mitsubishi Starion.
>>
>>14270772
I know that the RSX is a fwd, which is the only reason I'm not fixating on it. It does handle pretty close to what a rwd would though. It's a very practical car

I guess I'll check out GTOs

yeah, finding a decent car for under $10k isn't hard at all, but even with twice the budget you'd be hard pressed to find anything befitting of OP's retarded 16-year old boyracer standards.
>>
Here's a tip OP

You seem young and stupid. Work on getting /fit/ and becoming a very likable person instead of focusing on a car at this point in your life. you will be much happier.

I was given a very nice car at age 17 after driving a shit box for a year. I was obsessed(I still love the car and will keep it forever), I still have it 10 years later and it's only got 110k miles on the clock.

My life didn't change or get better until I started getting in shape(I was a twig for a long time), dressing better, and working on my personality. Oh and becoming successful in my given jobs and currently my career. You sound a lot like a dumb kid. Don't focus on this vehicle.

From my personal experience with 300zx/vr4s they are not reliable for 10k. Only chance of it being reliable is if its 100% stock and has been well maintained but finding one like that will be harder then finding Osama bin laden

I've driven over 20 cars in my life. I know what to expect from fwds and that's not what I wanna expect from my next car, which is probably gonna be the car I keep for the rest of my life

>>14271240

Projecting pretty hard there, kiddo. I'm probably twice your age

>>14271241
There's plenty of cars that fit those criteria. The G35's only one of them. I was hoping consulting with /o/, an imageboard which is supposed to specialize in cars would result in a little more information and a little less butthurt faggotry. What, you're salty that I'm upgrading to something nicer while you're stuck in your $500 civic ?

>>14271257

Honestly, OP mines been pretty trouble free just regular maintenance. the only thing with these and camaros is you're going to want to upgrade the rear end if you plan on doing any serious power upgrades. The pop up headlight motors and power window motors love to fail so you'll be looking at fixing those eventually. Also get it in manual you'll love it
