What do you guys think about the Accord Coupe?
I'm trying to decide between this and a Genesis Coupe.
>>
>>14222364
Honestly the Accord coupe is nicer inside and out compared to that gook trash, but you should go sit in both if you're serious.
>>
>>14222364
Get the 6 cylinder and be happy and content.
>>
>>14222372
I sat inside inside the Accord and I absolutely loved it. I might honestly go for it.

>>14222376
The 6 cylinder would be beast!

New? Neither. Get a C5 Z06.
>>
There are still '80s accords rolling around with nay even a belt squeak. A few years ago I used to see Genesis coupes everywhere but I can't remember the last time I was one on the road in the last 6 months. It reminds me of the exact same thing with Tiburons. Weather you like them or not Accords hold their value like hell.

Honda still makes the most satisfying feeling manuals in the industry short of folks like Porsche, if my car shat itself and I -had- to get something newer than 3 years it would be at the high end of my list.
>>
idk the 2016 civic coupe is looking real nice

they just confirmed electric green today
>>
>>14222425
This car is a FWD?!
>>
They're offering a no money down, $279/mo, 36 month lease where I'm from. I'm thinking real hard about it. You guys have any thoughts?
>>
>>14223658
Yes.
>>
>>14223708
>lease

Why tho?
>>
>>14223729
$0 down vs $4k down
36 months vs 72 months
$279/mo vs $281/mo

I understand the aspect that the car isn't my asset, and my monthly payment isn't going towards anything, but me renting a car. But with that lease option - I feel I can invest the money I saved on a down payment.

Also, I'm 25 and just started my career, so I don't want to be tied to one car for 5 years. When I can have low monthly payments now, and after 36 months - I might be in a better position financially to afford a better vehicle.

That's my thought process. I could always use some wisdom on this - this will my first car purchase

Almost every Honda is FWD, senpai.
>>
>>14222396
Especially in manual.

I'm glad that's an option.
>>
>>14222966
Civic coupe is shit. It's on the exact same wheelbase as the sedan so there's this awkward space behind the door. Too much front overhang, tiny windows, cvt unless you go for the boy racer Si
>>
>>14222966
I have high hopes for the new civic

The turbo models are just as fast as the 9th gen si's

Get the Touring model or go home.

I am being serious, spend that extra cash and get all the goodies a premium (50k car) would give.
>>
>>14223658
They don't have any cars that aren't aside from the S2K and the NSX, family

no ty

>>14222364
Genesis if you want skidz. Accord if you want literally anything else.
>>
The Accord V6 coupe does 95 percent of what a $60,000 German coupe does, at half the price, while probably lasting twice as long.

Do it. It is a good purchase and has good resale value.

My accord runs flawlessly and starts every time, If you want realibilty it literally can not be beat. Like another anon said the shifting feel is top tier but its not like it has any performance, it doesn't even have true VTEC. The seats are comfy, the fuel efficiency is good, it has a lot of trunk space considering, but it's loud as shit with the rear seats down. That being said I'd still get it over some hyundia pos any day of the week.

Some of what I would base my decisions on, as a 23 year old that started my career a year and a half ago
Say you get tired of it in 3 years:
If you lease, you pay $10,044 and the car goes away, end of story. You are out $10,044
If you buy, at 3 years you have paid $14,116, and still have the car. Looking at base models, a new one is ~$24k. If you look at 2013 Accords, KBB is around $14.5 (this was done very quickly, I don't know what trim you were considering buying, and I don't know shit about Hondas, so keep that in mind). If you sell now, $10k goes to the rest of your loan and you get $4k back. Total depreciation is $10k.

In this case, if you decide you want another car after 3 years, you're out $10k whether you buy or lease.

If you decide to keep the car longer than that, then I'd say buying is the smarter option, but I'm not gonna look at the math.

Another option, which was my choice, is continue fixing up your current shitbox, or buy another shitbox, and invest in something that holds value better early on. I'm continuing to maintain my 04 ranger that has 250k miles and instead focusing on paying off my house, which I intend to sell a few years down the road at or above my purchase price, as I've been making improvements

Good luck, YMMV

I recant that picture and replace it with this one. Fuck automatics.
Inc rice h8 but it's clean imo
>>
>>14227656
Swap it from a manual accord sedan. It's pretty simple since they're the same basic car
>>
>>14228074
does simple include welding a new trans mount and having to make your own harness if you don't fork out for a new ECU?
>>
>>14222364

If you don't get the Honda than you have bought the wrong 'h' my friend, don't buy the wrong 'h'.
>>
>>14228092
Welding? Fuck that. Swap the subframe

>wanting to rent a car for years instead of owning it because you might get "bored" of it

fucking kids these days i swear.

I have a 10' Accord V6. Its a blast and pretty fast for a sedan. The interior fucking sucks on the 8G. The 9 and 9.5s are beautiful though. It is incredibly reliable. The J35 was known for burning oil but most fixed by recalls.

Also the Genesis has a horribly ugly interior. Base model as fuck looking for being so pricey.

In regards to the new turbo civics beating Si's, what a load of horse shit. The 9th gen Si is a very well rounded vehicle. You're literally comparing a 160-180HP FI engine to a 200HP NA engine?
>>
>>14222364
My first car was a 1994 Accord with 330,000 miles on it and it still ran incredibly with nothing but a oil change and plug and wire job
>>
>>14224118
>>14224617
how about a miata shoop
>>
>>14223708
I literally got this deal a month ago on a black 2015 accord coupe i4 6 speed. 279 a month 0 down and all bank fees and taxes included in the payment. It's a nice car. Just got in my first accident a toyota tundra clipped my licence plate with his front wheel and ripped off the whole bumper.
