Op here again. The dealer told me that the automatic transmission would be more reliable than the manual so i got the auto

I honestly hate it, it's ugly. The interior is ugly, your engine would probably blow up after 40k miles and your power steering would get fucked soon.

I change the oil more often and use Rotella T6
I've also lightened the car and don't bog the engine like a lot of people do. Don't be afraid to rev the shit out of it, it loves that.
It's really easy to replace the turbo. The engine itself is also relatively easy to work on, but the multair assembly needs a special tool (of course).

Also, you can pull a fuse to disable Multair. The damn thing actually drives better, but you can watch the fuel needle drop.

The Dart uses a completely different ECU than the MiTo and Giulietta. Doesn't mean it won't fail, mind you.

I checked Dart 1.4 turbo engine problems and the only ones to come about were "surging issues" when it gets about midrange in the revs, if OP got the DDCT trans, and gets the recall performed on the PCV, he shouldn't have any other issues

Terrible choice. You could get a $3,500 Miata and save all that money while getting a better car. I personally have a masochism fetish, I love constantly having to take it in to the shop, especially since my city has a ton of potholes that ruin my suspension. It's great.

Would be a great car if Fiat made them 500 lbs lighter.

the 1.4's a good value if you wanna wrench on shit. You can boost them over 200 HP with bolt-ons and a tune.

frankly, if you buy a mopar of any year, you should be willing to wrench on it, either to fix it or make it better.
