can we take a moment to appreciate the Alfa Romeo 156? is this the best car design from the 1990s? can anything else compete?
any car that looks good from the 90s is better than it since thats ugly
>>14172541
If this car came out today everyone would be all over it. It's an amazingly timeless, yet overlooked design.

stop samefagging op
>>14172541
as much as I do like the 156, I think the 159 is better looking in every single way
>>14172592
>rear door handles
It's the best looking family car designed in the 90's. It hasn't aged at all and looks modern even today, especially the facelifted model.
>>14172541
Looks great but fuck owning one.
>>14172592
i think if you take away the front then it's just a boring estate car. i feel like the 156's design runs throughout the entire car instead of just focusing on the face.
It looks fantastic, easily the best looking Alfa since the 70s. Too bad it's a FWD Holden with Fiata build quality.
>>14172621
i have one with 200,000 miles and it's still on it's original clutch. hardly any problems compared to my parents 2010 vw golf.
>>14172541
that's ugly and nowhere near the best of the 90s,you stupid fanboy
>>14172626
are these supposed to be negative points?
>>14172626
nothing wrong with FWD, this car drives like a sports car. the build quality meme is a myth.
>>14172628
I would like a V6 one but whenever I research into them its all annoying niggle problems and shit reliability so you can't depend on it.
>>14172630
>nowhere near the best of the 90s
then what is?
inb4 a box
>>14172634
>>14172646
not exactly negative points, more like meh points
Except for looks and the V6, this car has little over a much cheaper Ford Focus
>>14172666
Except a much nicer interior and far nicer looks.
>>14172650
is thinking that looks good some meme I dont know about or something
its awful
>>14172592
>156 design, except for 159 front end
>159 chassis
>Busso V6
This would be the best compromise.
>>14172666
have you driven one?
Will they ever make a reasonably small car with a big engine again?
>>14172541
>>14172592
sex on wheels
>>14172646
>this car drives like a sports car
Have you actually ever driven one? Dear god no. A bit on the heavy side, even my 2.0 TS understeered like mad. Good in a straight line, fun as hell to beat on and rev till redline, but nowhere near as good in corners as you'd hope. Get a 147 if you want actual handling. I can't even imagine how the V6 must have been, with all that extra weight over the front end.
>>14172710
The Brera has the sexiest ass of the bunch, but its proportions seem off to me. I prefer the 159 overall for that reason.
>>14172708
Not unless they squeeze a Hellcat engine into that new Giulia concept.
AND THEY SHOULD
[muffled noise of parts breaking everywhere]
>>14172721
On the upside, they depreciate so hard you can afford a parts car or two if you buy a second hand Alfa.
>>14172720
>Giulia Hellcat
YES PLEASE
And they should throw a hemi in the Lancia Thema (Chrysler 300C rebadge) too.
>>14172727
>Lancia Thema (Chrysler 300C rebadge)
>>14172727
Not gonna happen. Lancia is dead outside of Italy anyways.
Which, quite frankly, is stupid. They shuld rebadge the Alfa 4C into a Lancia, dip it in some nice Pininfarina styling, and call it a Stratos. Shoehirn in a V6 if you have to. I can guaran-fucking-tee you it would print money.
Marchionne: "La 159 รจ stata un errore"
>>14172737
Yeah, I think they were just trying to make the most mafia vehicle on the planet when they decided that.
