Co worker bought Civic EX Coupe CVT, doesn't work for shit in snow. Is she doing something wrong or do light fwd CVT cars just suck ass in snow?
Tires are the major decider in snow performance

cars with no horsepower/torque are shit in the snow
fwd has pretty good traction but it can get stuck in large parts of snow
rwd will just slip and slide

All seasons, brand new

lol "snow" transmission

That's her problem.
Tell her to turn off the traction control.

All seasons are not good in snow due to tread and compound. The compound will be too hard at low temps. There are some that are decent in medium or light snow, but she probably has a cheap shit all season that does terribly. Google the tire or check tire rack reviews on it for snow. If you want to invest in a good all season (doubtful) look at the cinturato p7 and see if they'll fit. Otherwise get a spare wheel and get some snow tires if the conditions are that bad
It's yours and the tcs is cutting power and pulsing the abs.
Constant memelocity transmission

Literally the most useless tyre type.
It's not good for anything.

What is this meme? I've always used all seasons for the last 16 years and have never had any problems. When in doubt, power out. TCS and ABS a shit in snow too.
I've got a 2015 civic si still on the all seasons from factory and have had no problems this winter living in northern alberta. Don't think tires are the problem

Women don't know how to drive
Drivetrain doesn't matter in the snow is mostly driving skill and good tires help
Ive driven a rwd shitbox work van with bad tires in the snow before with little issues
