Well I'm pretty torn on what to get. I'm looking for 5-10 thousand AWD and I either want a wrx (probably the Saab version) or an 04-07 Volvo S60 R. What would you guys choose?

s60r all day.

i say s60 aswell
having owned ans60 and s60r i highly recommend the s60r, finding a manual is hard as fuck though, and the T5 is still faster but R model is just cool, basic pretty high quality interior, just make sure to replace all the dried door seals.

How could the t5 be faster the r is the only one with 300hp

it isnt he's lying or means the T6
>2005 T5 0-60: 6.7s 1/4 mile: 15.2s
>2004 R AWD 0-60: 5.8s 1/4 mile 14.4s

Are the R models know for being unreliable at all or are they known for lasting long?

I own an R, and its a brilliant car.. except where its not. Its very smooth, comfortable and surprisingly efficient for its' power. It also has the turning radius of a truck, the 4c system is famous for breaking, and parts are expensive. If you are looking for a comfortable, fast cruiser and can do all the work yourself, an r can be a good option. Just make sure the 4c settings all work, and the awd engages properly.
You don't need AWD.
