I want a Toyota Hiace badly here in the US after seeing a lot of these in my Japan visit. So reliable too. It will be the best to convert it into a mini motor home. There's a shit ton of variants on this. The best I liked was the LWB wide-body-high-roof configuration(most spacious variant-pic related). Powerful variety of engines; 2.5 and 3.0L. I might sound like a salesman because I researched a lot on this vehicle :D Also it was cool to know that the LHD versions are sold int he M.E, and other asian countries.
