yeah and the 8 speed auto is slower around a road course despite the better straight line speeds. it's almost all gearing advantage for 0-60 or 1/4 but when overall performance matters the manual shines on a big track. assuming you could get the over exerted tractor engine in the z06 to work for more than 1 lap the next thing that would be in trouble is the auto with a torque converter boiling the trans fluid.
