Definitely possible but looks ridiculous. Just taping up the grill and putting Moon discs on is pretty good but obviously can lead to cooling problems for the engine and brakes.

If you just improve the aero significantly, would you get better highway MPG's with the same gearbox or should you change the gearing for full effect? Seems like you would need taller gears to really notice the difference. At least a high O/D gear.

Too may variables to have an objective answer. Reducing drag will always give you better mileage though, since the engine will need to output less power for a given speed, regardless of gearing.
