Are there still any simple, no bullshit, just werks new cars that aren't trucks or horrendous base model compacts?
>>14107114
Cargo vans? Or do those count as trucks?
>>14107114
some porsches
>>14107114
>all that plastic in the front
No, so don't be a cuck and go buy a truck.
Police cars or other fleet cars
Bumping for interest. New cars don't have base enough base models.
All I want from a car is 2 airbags, an A/C, remote start, heated seats, power mirrors, and a radio. All I need is 3 pedals, 3 gauges, and a steering wheel. Modern cars have too much dead weight attached.
>>14107178
These are fucking expensive.
>>14107183
> 2 airbags, an A/C, remote start, heated seats, power mirrors, and a radio
WOW IS THAT ALL YOU WANT
the god damn irony of your post
>>14107183
Radios are the epitome of dead weight.
>>14107183
>remote start, heated seats, power mirrors
that's not really a no frills just werks car at that point is it?
>>14107184
What?

No airbags, just 1 standard key, only heat, and a radio is all I want.
My last car only has the speedometer, fuel and temp. And it worked just fine with those 3 pedals.
That's all I want baby.
Just. Werks.

Look, I like it. I do. But I'm going to argue minor points to act like I win the argument.
>autotragic
>two tone paint job
>4 doors
>fleet vehicle
>>14107114
...literally the only shit I can think of is a Nissan Versa or a base Colorado.
>>14107168
Then just get a King Ranch, Nancy.
>46k for a DRW, single cab, diesel, and 4x4 truck
Worth it?
>>14107297
not for single cab
>>14107114
Yes-
>that aren't trucks or horrendous base model compacts
um. Would you be prepared to look at SUVs too?
>>14107183
>remote start, heated seats, power mirrors, and a radio
You don't need these though, they're just more things to run up the cost.
Mazdas
Why would anyone buying a new econobox right now not get a Mazda3. Best in its class, not murican so reliable and looks beautiful
>>14107114
Because of their stupid high residual values, it is almost as cheap to lease a Camry SE as a Corolla S at most dealerships (usually $10 more per month). It's probably the best car you can get for the money in the USA, but the downside is that you will be looking at a huge buyout price (the residual) at the end of your lease if you do actually like it enough to buy it. Use the time in your lease to save up money for your next vehicle.
At a dealership near me they are leasing Camry SE for $129/mo and Corolla S Plus for $119/mo.
As far as "just werks" goes, Toyota can't be beat at the moment. Virtually every source places Toyota and Lexus at the top in most reliability/maintenance surveys;
