Where will you be when meme fuelled cars destroy western civilisation?

700 bar?

10,150psi.

No thanks.

Toyota owners are the dumbest people in the world when it comes to cars.
If you have no ambitions about driving you buy a Toyota. Plain ass car, think its reliable because japan.

exception: older toyotas that were actually good, but nothing in the last 20 years

I wonder...

Inflammable means flammable fyi.

I use both feet, it's kinda hard to juggle 3 pedals with one foot
>>

Millions of people not realizing their foot was on the gas, not the brakes.
>>
Standing beside the Hydrogen forklifts at work feels slightly sketchy, cars with twice the pressure and travelling at 10x the speeds would be really terrifying.

I sure as fuck wouldn't feel safe sitting on 3000lbs of lithium either, I definitely wouldn't be "supercharging" anything in or near my house.

Both Hydrogen and the current shitty battery technology we got now just aren't going to cut it for vehicles in the future.
>>
>>14106594
spotted the retard

anyway the hydrogen tanks are supposed to be pretty safe. like 2 inch thick carbon fiber armor piercing bullet proof safe.
>>
>>14106072
They are reliable though
>>
>>14104645
People thinking the gas pedal is the brake.

No joke.

You probably still think im kidding.

I'm not.

>throw one gallon tank of hydrogen into fire

It will probably just trigger one of the many safety features the tank will have.

As a comparison, automotive LPG tanks all have (at least in yurop)

- standard overpressure valve that vents gas out in case the pressure goes over a threshold. This alone is basically what prevents explosions
- thermal valve that melts when temperature rises too much and creates an additional vent. It is for when tank is in flames and overpressure valve is malfunctioning.
- tank rated for a waaaaaaa higher pressure than normal working condition in case it ends up in a fire and somehow any of the other safety features fail.
All this stuff means you will never see a LPG/CNG tank exploding from inside a car, they will vent gas out (which will definitely ignite if exposed to fire, but won't cause explosions) and that's it.

Now, LPG works with very low pressures, CNG works at around 200bar at most. I think that whoever is in charge of designing tanks rated for hydrogen at 700bar will be damn well sure to make them bomb proof

When a vehicle with a diesel engine crashes, it ceases to function. When a hydrogen cell is ruptured it ???????????

What happes?
>>
>>14109822
Candy falls out. Just like a piƱata.
>>
>>14109822
Hydrogen leaks and ignites if there is a spark or an open flame nearby, it's what would happen if an LPG tank ruptured, but more violent I guess.
>>
Toyota seems really confident in this technology, and this was the same company that put out the Prius. They were even willing to freely share all of their related patents on it. I wonder how much of a chance it actually has.
