You're full of shit. The Prelude SH only came with the H22.

The SH bell housing/tranny is completely different as it uses clutch discs to manually control torque to each wheel.

As a result, the longblock is also different.

You can only swap a SH with an SH engine, as it's specific to that car.

Now. If you have a non-SH prelude. Then it's a different story. And completely plausible. So the real question, who's lying? You or the person you bought it from?

Also I have no idea why you would even think of buying a prelude that's not a third gen. It's lighter, and more nimble, and can be swapped with all the civic engines.

Not to mention, if you're reasoning is "I wanted something bigger" then you should have gone with the CB7. It has a superior chassis, more space, and can be swapped with the same engine a prelude can be.

It is certainly possible to put a civic engine in a 4rd gen but because of the low hoodline of the 3rd gen it isn't very common and requires alot of custom work.

The most common swap is the h22 or h23 swap, because kits for these swaps are being produced.
