It's more shit than a 2004 (last good year for GM quality wise) but the 3800 is fairly reliable. Transmissions are the weak point, but you should be fine to 200k. You will go through a set of cooling elbows by 150k I guarantee you. Intake plenum gaskets are way less of an issue on the Series 3, but may still go bad. Enjoy it, it's a comfy ride. Any pics?
