A lot of this 'technology' - batteries, chargers, electric motors, cables - adds weight. Snek is just pure (basically race) car. For one example, if Porsche spent all the energy they put into the 918 into a regular gasoline powertrain, the car would probably be a better match for Snek.

That's pretty standard tire wear for setting lap times. There are almost no street tires out there that can last more than 3 or 4 hard laps around the burgerking before wearing severely.

The hybrids are experiments to prove going fast with gas can continue when cars have to get 100mpg to be street legal. They're technology demonstrators, not meant to be invincible.

The ACR is a racecar. Have you ever sat inside of a viper? Even the "consumer" models are uncomfortable as shit and pretty underwhelming on the inside. They are literally made to be fast and nothing else, from the start.

Also, I can guarantee you that you wouldn't enjoy driving an ACR as you would an LFA or even a waaaay cheaper E46 M3. Track times aren't everything. In fact, they're pretty meaningless. The viper is the epitome of that.
