How is it even possible? Cars with active aero,hybrid assisted drive trains that cost millions get beaten by a Car that still uses pushrods?

That's pretty standard tire wear for setting lap times. There are almost no street tires out there that can last more than 3 or 4 hard laps around the burgerking before wearing severely.

Tire wear grows exponentially when they're put under heavy load. Which is why you see people at the track with big piles of spare tires.

It's got a huge wing sucking MPGs, a splitter making it a bitch to park, sticky tires semi-slicks that are going to wear out fast and don't grip in the wet, super stiff suspension and low ride height, a rollbar that takes up cargo space, etc. Don't be delusional. The ACR is a race car with a few creature comforts. Yes, it's beautiful, and fast as fuck and well priced, but it's stupid to think that it won't be a total bitch to drive in comparison to a P1 which is actually comfortable and smooth in shitty driving conditions.

I've always wondered why the hybrid supercars have such small tires and little aero if cost is no issue and that much power. The p1 only has 245 front and 345 rear. Smaller than a base vipers and comparable front to a base corvette.

No. Sub-200k cars will go roughly as fast (give or take a few seconds in laptime) as any supercar/hypercar. You can get a driving experience equally as impressive as a super/hypercar from a 911, Viper, or GT-R.

I'd bet money Porsche's own 991 GT2RS will be faster than the 918 around many tracks.

The hybrids are experiments to prove going fast with gas can continue when cars have to get 100mpg to be street legal. They're technology demonstrators, not meant to be invincible.

The ACR is a racecar. Have you ever sat inside of a viper? Even the "consumer" models are uncomfortable as shit and pretty underwhelming on the inside. They are literally made to be fast and nothing else, from the start.

Also, I can guarantee you that you wouldn't enjoy driving an ACR as you would an LFA or even a waaaay cheaper E46 M3. Track times aren't everything. In fact, they're pretty meaningless. The viper is the epitome of that.

And I say all that as someone that's had experience with all of the cars I've mentioned.
