Had 180K on it, was near the end of the run, and it was announced as 'engine defect', although the defect was the 'check gauges' light being on because the oil pressure sending unit was fucked. 45 dollar part to fix. Washed, waxed, and sold.

I recently bought a 98 taurus and 96 ranger for $300 total. Already sold the taurus for $1000 after putting $150 in it. Ranger needs a clutch i just havent gotten to it yet...300k on the ranger from original owner!

The escape I bought had a misfire but it was just because the spark plugs had probably never been changed. Did basic maintenance on it(oil, spark plugs, coolant etc) and it ran great.
