I do think its a disappointment they decided not to look into a production version of the IDx, especially when people as high up as Jay Leno were practically pleading them to. Nissan was in serious financial trouble and literally couldn't produce the silvia skyline z32 etc anymore because of change of laws in Japan

They gave the gtr and a fantastic motorsports program

Toyota and Honda have fallen into the same trap as Nissan. Both have completely forgotten how to build a sportscar. Toyota had to beg Subaru for help and still didn't really and up with anything better than Subaru's own offerings. The FT-1 concept is simply disgusting and shares nothing in common with any generation of Supra. The LFA is a mildly interesting footnote. The IS-F and RC-F are BMW-tier drivel.

Honda has a FWD shitbox with a turbo and a bodykit designed by a 12 year old, and a car that's basically an LFA without a soul that looks like a bland mid-2000s concept.

Literally the only manufacturers that matter right now are Mazda and Ford. Even their shitboxes are cool.

The current auto-only Clio RS, widely viewed as the worst ever, has far outsold the old one. The new Megane GT is also auto only, and we haven't seen hide nor hair of the Twingo GT they were supposedly working on.

Renault too seems to have stopped caring about enthusiasts. I guess that makes sense if they're making money from it, but it's still a shame.

Its one of the best cars in the world right now and will probably be a classic in a couple of decades like the 34.

What is sad is that if you look at the concept art of the next-gen GT-R, it looks like a turd.
