431whp is the actual hp that makes it to the ground, 455bhp is what the engine itself is rated at. Usually cars suffer from roughly 15% drivetrain loss, which would mean this car is producing 507BHP.

This is highly unlikely though seeing as other LT1s aren't pulling down numbers like this. Like was stated earlier this is either a happy dyno or skewed correction/altitude factors.

I don't even care. The camaro has a bunch of hand me down parts from the corvette and that's pathetic. The camaro will never be its own unique car and will always be a parts bin car.

The mustang is still the better value because it's the better package overall.
Better ride for every day driving.

The camaro wasn't designed around anything inparticular. There was no solution to any problems.

They had an engine already. They had parts from the higher end camaros and corvettes. Then they just threw it all together to see what happened and what you see is what you get.

What a horrible way of doing things. They had no vision of what they wanted the car to be. Instead they kept things very similar to the last car so they could keep using the parts from the cars of the past and corvette parts.

Long story short is the camaro isn't a camaro. It really isn't anything. It's a mash up of past ideas and current ideas and it fails in reaching any sort of goal. They had no damn vision for how the camaro should be and how they can build the car around the chassis to meet that vision.

Mustang did all of that right. Sorry bro. You lost this one. You lost this one.

Also with those highway passing tests - the camaro is automatic and is allowed to downshift while the manual mustang has to stay in a regular cruising gear like 5th or 6th without the option of downshifting.
