Z06 offers a 7 speed manual that's better than the old 6 speed.

Only problem with a convertible is chassis stifness. The C7 Z06 convertible is stiffer than the old ZR1 anyways.

GM really dun goofed there. Somehow that LT4 works just fine in the CTS-V, but not in the Z06. Somehow a 640hp V8 doesn't overheat in the C6 ZR1, but a 650hp V8 in the C7 Z06 does. Not enough radiator airflow/surface area? I'm expecting a redesign soon anyways. Once they fix the overheating, the C7 Z06 has the better package though, with a direct injection V8 and 7 speed manual allowing for better running costs.
