What does /o/ think of the Iltis? There's like 4 of them in my city, and....I kinda want one myself.

Why would you want one?
>>14007550
Because look at it! I have a soft spot for little recce vehicles.

They even have their own special snowflake trailer.

it looks happy

I kind of dig them, been thinking of a bombardier iltis for heading into the bush.

For city driving, commuting, and highway travel, it looks awful. It will be loud, if it rains you will be soaked, good luck keeping valuables secure, anything above 50kph will be a miserable experience, I don't think they have any sound system at all, and it just looks like a pain in any sort of city life.
For outdoor into the bush excursions, it looks perfect. Easy to climb into, looks like I could drive it through a forest with naught but a deer trail, and come out the other side laughing. Rifle racks in it might also be useful for hunting.
Perfect car for hitting the local forest service road, knowing you could hit pretty much everything and be fine. Wouldn't drive it more than a mile for groceries.
My source being having spent some time in these luxurious bad boys. Sipping on gin and juice in my mercedes bitches.

Fuck sick bruv, mind sharing the story?
How much was it used?
They are all manuals eh?
Was considering a 2500 chevy fleet with the army package, but seems kinda boring compared to these.

It kind of is.

It's kinda loud, and does lack a sound system, but that's easily remedied. You should be fairly warm and dry, and a bit of ingenuity will keep your shit secure. And the wheel wells have these massive compartments for sneaky storage.

You have no idea. Rated in the books for 70 degree inclines, I saw them pushed harder on LandNav. I've never heard of one getting stuck. The biggest issue is they're not the best on ice, due to the tires, but a little practice and you'll be fine. Also, the heat is incredible, like the core of the sun, but it only comes out the centre of the dash. I drove one from Shiloh to Edmonton in -40, and it wasn't too bad.

I never liked the G-Wagen. Not enough armor to justify the switch, and nowhere near as capable a Recce vehicle. But that's just my opinion.

If you don't mind that you'll need to add a few creature comforts, like a radio, it's really no worse than a soft-top Jeep.
no spook pls senpai
>>14007552
Hey, it kinda looks like a Land Rover like that.
>>14011117
Hahahaha what the FUCK? Why is Boy George riding in that VW?

This is the ILTIS rolling backwards down a hill after failing to reach the summit due to a horribly insufficient engine.
